Our Commitment to People and Community
We’re culturally diverse - a co-owned Māori business, with strong cultural links to iwi, Māori tikanga and Manaaki principles.
We maintain excellent relationships with iwi (particularly Ngāti Toa) and fully embrace and respect standards and regulations.
Our Director’s and Senior Management affiliations include the following:
-
Ngā Puhi
-
Ngāti Kahu
-
Ngāi Tahu
-
Te Whānau-ā-Apanui
We care - we only hire locally and we pay above living wage. We use local suppliers and subcontractors in all cases.
We’ve signed up to the Manaaki Plan (Relationship charter) with Wellington City Council, emphasising our commitment to a set of relationship principles.
We’ve partnered with MSD and local Iwi to support and offer employment opportunities and apprenticeships to those on benefits or rehabilitation programmes re-entering the workforce.
Training and Development – we want to see our people succeed.
Environmental/sustainability outcomes – we commit to doing the best we can on all our projects.
Community Support – we give back to the community who supports us.
Health & Safety – we’re committed to health and safety and have the accreditations to prove it.
